The Turin event of the WIM Tour brought the conversation into a territory capable of combining understated elegance, identity and vision. At Vigna Chinet, the dialogue among wedding and private events professionals took the form of a collective reflection on the need to build stronger identity, greater cohesion and a more mature relationship with the market.
Turin offered a particularly suitable setting to address the theme of professionalism. The twelve round tables clearly showed how much the sector still feels the weight of the absence of certifications, professional registers, recognized training pathways and reference points capable of distinguishing structured expertise from improvised approaches.
The lack of recognition does not affect only the external image of the sector. It also influences the way professionals collaborate with one another. Communication among suppliers is often discontinuous, roles may overlap and project management risks losing effectiveness when shared processes do not exist.
Added to this is the issue of unfair competition, which weakens service quality and makes it harder for operators to position themselves correctly. The result is a market with significant skills, but one that needs to make them more visible, more organized and more recognizable.
The relationship with institutions and territorial promotion represented another important point. Piedmont is perceived as a destination with considerable potential, also for destination weddings, but not yet fully expressed on the international stage. Preparedness in terms of hospitality, communication and synergy with local authorities could become a decisive element for its next step forward.
The proposed solutions point to a more organized model: training, certifications, respect for existing regulations, greater transparency and a territorial network capable of facilitating dialogue among professionals. Not a generic network, but a structure of reliable relationships based on exchange, reputation and genuine collaboration.
The relationship with the final client also requires a new approach. Clear quotations, understandable contracts and a more accurate narrative of the work performed can help the market understand the value of services and distinguish between price, quality and professional responsibility.
On the operational side, the round tables insisted on the need to define more orderly processes. Team building, periodic meetings and coordination moments among suppliers are considered essential tools to improve the overall quality of projects and enhance the contribution of every professional involved.
The event was made possible by Simmi Studio, which handled PR and set-up, together with the partners who contributed to the experience: La Stella Catering for catering, Daniele Pavignano Events for service, and Daryna Huz and Anton Yasirov for the visual storytelling.
The day was completed by the cocktails of GF Party, the gelato by Alberto Marchetti Gelaterie, the beauty work of Ganna Hairstyle and Ecaterina Ivanova, together with the presence of the ateliers Donatella Gallo, E. Polignano and Elena Pignata Bridal and Ceremony, representing the sartorial excellence of the territory.
Turin offered a very clear direction: less isolation, more coordination. In order to grow, the sector must learn to recognize itself, communicate and build common tools. Only in this way can the territory transform its potential into authority and international competitiveness.
