Profile 2 — the Digital Enterprise — is the one showing the strongest quantitative performance in the WIMSurvey25 sample: greater internationalization, higher volume, faster response time, very high growth expectations. It's the profile many other operators look at as a model to aspire to.

But the Digital Enterprise has its own specific challenges. And understanding them matters as much as admiring its performance.

The Profile: Who the Digital Enterprise Is

The Digital Enterprise is typically a structured agency with multiple collaborators, or a resort or venue with integrated hospitality that internally manages a significant share of the supply chain. It uses AI or advanced software for lead management. It has an active marketing funnel with measured campaigns, retargeting, SEO. It uses digital collaboration tools — project management software, advanced CRM, video-conferencing systems integrated into the workflow.

It manages a significant volume of events — often dozens per year, in some cases over 100. It operates in international markets with systematic engagement. It has documented processes, standardized templates, measured response standards.

The Competitive Advantage: Scalability and Speed

The main advantage of the Digital Enterprise is the ability to scale without systematically degrading quality. This is possible because quality doesn't depend on a single person — it depends on replicable processes, shared standards, team training.

Response speed is the second competitive advantage. A lead arriving at 5 PM on a Friday gets a response within hours, not on Monday morning. This speed isn't just professionalism — it's a concrete commercial differentiator in international markets, where clients often simultaneously compare proposals from multiple destinations.

The third advantage is the ability to measure. The Digital Enterprise knows where its leads come from, which channel converts most, what the quote-to-contract conversion rate is, where negotiations are lost. This visibility allows commercial investment optimization with an efficiency other profiles don't have.

The Main Brake: Qualified Personnel

The data point that emerges most clearly from the analysis of profile 2 is that the main brake on growth isn't the market — it's recruiting and retaining qualified operational personnel.

What does "qualified" mean in this context? Not only technically capable. Capable of operating with Digital Enterprise standards: response speed, documentation quality, consistent customer experience, the capacity to handle international clients with high expectations.

Finding these people is hard. Training them takes time. And keeping them — in a labor market that offers opportunities across many sectors — is the biggest challenge.

The Employer Branding Strategy

The structural answer to this challenge is employer branding: building the company's reputation as an excellent employer, not only as an excellent service provider.

This includes several elements. Clear and respectful internal processes — you can't ask for excellence from collaborators if the work environment is chaotic. Visible career growth paths — the best collaborators stay where they see a future. A constructive error culture — in a creative-intensity industry, those who never make mistakes aren't experimenting enough. Competitive compensation — savings on labor cost that turn into turnover have an extremely high hidden cost.

How to Maintain Quality While Scaling

The hardest tension for the Digital Enterprise to manage is the one between scalability and quality. How do you grow volumes without losing the essence of the service?

The answer lies in smart standardization. Don't standardize everything — that would kill differentiation. Standardize processes, not products. The client onboarding process, the communication flow during the project, operational emergency management, post-event documentation: these are processes that can be standardized without losing creativity.

The product — the event itself — remains personalized. The machine that produces it becomes more efficient.

The second element is the systematic measurement of the conversion funnel: time to first response, quote-to-contract conversion rate, drop reasons, client Net Promoter Score. This is where margin is won or lost. And the data tells you precisely, if you track it.
